ABOUT OUR CLASSES
Here at The Chartreuse Muse we believe that art and art appreciation should be lifelong pursuits.
The Chartreuse Muse offers a wide-ranging art curriculum designed to provide a continuity of art instruction from preschool through high school and beyond. It all starts with the popular Mommy & Me class, designed to provide pre-schoolers with their first art experience.
In a series of courses for elementary and junior high students, budding artists will study the masters of art and have opportunities to explore a variety of art media, including drawing, painting, mixed media, and clay. The emphasis is on creativity and fun.
High School students will build on what they’ve learned by continuing to explore pivotal figures in the arts and through progressively more challenging and sophisticated art projects, using both 2D and 3D media. Those interested in pursuing art at the college level or as a career will have opportunities for independent study and to build a personal art portfolio.

ART SCHOOL POLICIES
Payment & Cancellation Policies: Preregistration is required for all classes. Payment in full to The Chartreuse Muse must accompany the registration form to reserve your space. Forms of accepted payment are cash, check, and Visa or MasterCard. Credit is not given for missed classes. A service fee of $10 is assessed for same day registration. A $25.00 fee is retained on all cancellations.
Charter School Students: A refundable holding deposit of $25.00 per student is required for all charter school students. Parents are responsible for this deposit. A scholarship for financial assistance is available for those, ages 7 – 18, who qualify. Please send a written request for an application.
Pick-up & Drop-off Policies: Please arrive promptly for class, but no earlier than 15 minutes before the class is to start. Please use the side door to be picked up and dropped off.
