SPRING 2019 ART CLASSES & WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS
MIXED MEDIA: CREATIVE EXPLORATIONS
Join us in an artistic exploration of mixed media materials.
Learn how to create rich, layered backgrounds using dyes, draw everyday objects in a simplified form, and add stamped letters and symbols to create a dynamic background. Once you’ve created a focal point, you’ll learn how to finish your pages with doodled details and dimensional elements. Whether you’re new to creating or a seasoned mixed media artist, you’ll enjoy this playful and experimental way of approaching art.
This class will offer all new projects, suitable for former students to take again.

MARCH 6, 13
In this class, you will explore the fundamental concepts of drawing, such as line, shape, form, volume, spatial relationships and perspective while working with a variety of drawing materials. Students will focus on learning how to see the world around them and how to translate this newly found vision into the two-dimensional world of drawing. A great class to start with if you don’t have much (or Any!) experience!
